Mechanical Design

According with our final project, we seek to learn how 3D printers works. Of all 3d printers that used in the Fab labs, we chose to make the Fab Home, because its injection system seems useful for our project. On the following page you will find all information about the machine.

Cutting Process:

 
 

Syringe Tool: The Model 1 1-Syringe Tool is the standard deposition tool for the Fab@Home Model 1.

According to users this machine is the recommended tool for beginner fabbers, in that it allows the use of a very wide variety of materials like a gypsum plaster (ceramics), chocolate, caramel, peanut butter, ect. (edible materials).

In our case we will work with a new compound (organic paste based in bamboo´s dust) .

Final Comments: For this assignment I worked with Raquel Velarde. We finished assembling all parts of the machine, we adapt it in the process of mechanical components
